Automation and Process Control Engineer – Norfolk
Opportunity:

Your role as an Automation and Process Control Engineer based in Norfolk will involve fault finding, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of process control systems within the manufacturing operations, facilities and utilities areas.
You will be hands on working on PLC and Microprocessor controlled systems as well as get involved in continuous improvement, new capital and the re-engineering of existing systems projects. You will develop technical specifications around instrumentation and control.
This is a an approx. 6 months contract which the client will review for a possible extension however everything is dependent on the individual and business performance. The hourly PAYE rate is £34.44.
The hours of work are: 2 days and 2 nights then four off: Day 1 – 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; Day 2- 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; Day 3 – 6.00 pm to 6.00 am; Day 4 – 6.00 pm to 6.00 am
Then four days off and back to the rotational shift as above.
Skills:
To apply for the role of Automation and Process Control Engineer you will have the following:
* Degree in electrical, electronic or control systems engineering or equivalent.
* Experience of carrying out the above within a pharmaceutical / scientific or a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
* High degree of competency in PLC Operation and Philosophy, Hardware and Software.
* Systematic root cause analysis and fault finding within complex control systems.
* Experience with Schematics Wiring and Circuitry.
* Experience with Automation, Robotics and Servo Loop Controls.
* Experience in the area of SCADA, Process Control Systems, HMI & Distributed Control.
* Working knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems.
* Experience of working in a Validated environment, with Validation Document Generation experience.
