Automated Tester

The automated Test Analyst will work with agile development teams using continuous integration, testing a broad variety of different web, service and GUI based solution. You will be expected to have a strong technical background and understanding, and have recent & relevant experience of leading automated functional testing & performance/load testing. The role will begin by introducing new tools and practices to improve automation and you will take an interactive role in the team and will be required to guide less experienced testers and developers on testing best practice.

To be successful in this role you will have the following technical skills:

– Experience of working within a structured quality system
– Knowledge of structured test methods and processes
– Proven experience of testing web and GUI applications
– Proven experience of automated functional testing using tools such as Gerkin Cucumber, QTest.
– Strong analytical skills
– Excellent functional and integration testing experience
– Excellent performance and load testing experience
– Excellent written & verbal communication
– Self drive & focus
– Exposure to products developed in some of: SQL; Oracle; Jscript, Java, ASP.NET 3.5/4.0; C#; WCF; WPF.
– Subversion or similar, including experience of branching
– Experience of automated deployments using CI Server such as Hudson
– Experience of using and managing Bug Tracking tools such as JIRA

In addition, you will need to hold a certificate in recognized testing protocols and standards, have an open and flexible approach and be responsive to the changing requirements of a dynamic work environment.
