Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Our client a prestigious bank is seeking an associate to assist the Global Loan Syndications team in both identifying and executing new loan opportunities for a 12 month period.
A key part of the role will be to provide high quality presentations aimed at both external clients and internally to senior management meetings as well as to the overseas branches for regular market updates.
Main Responsibilities as follows but not limited to.
Preparation of the monthly EXCO and ALCO presentations.
Preparation of the monthly market update and of league table submissions on closed deals.
Preparation of case studies/credentials slides on closed deals.
Assisting in the preparation of client presentations.
Assisting in the preparation of various search requests linked to outstanding deals, pricing comparative analysis and loan maturity analysis for refinancing opportunities.
Assisting with the preparation of invitation letters to investors
Assisting with the preparation of Info Memos on live deals
Assisting with the preparation of secondary trade approvals and related checklists.
Assisting with the preparation of payment/receipt memos related to the settlement of secondary trades
Tracking the status of the approval process
Maintaining and updating the GLS&DM pipeline.
Maintaining and updating the fee revenue report on closed deals linked to KPIs.
Maintaining and updating a spreadsheet on closed deals arranged by other banks for pricing and structure comparison.
Maintaining and updating a spreadsheet on all financing opportunities
Stay fully appraised of all relevant and current syndicated loan market dynamics
Appraise potential business opportunities and make appropriate recommendations
Support the Senior Managers on deal execution.
Join regular calls with the relationship management teams across the Corporate and Institutional Banking Departments in order provide loan market updates and to discuss and identify potential lending opportunities.
Monitor local and international credit market risks.
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of the syndicated loan market.
Sound credit knowledge.
Understanding of all relative market developments and trends across the range of borrower/asset type including products, structures, pricing, documentation, participants & investors.
Good working knowledge and competent user of transactional & information websites such as Bloomberg, Debtdomain, Dealogic and Intralinks.
