ROLE: 
Turner & Townsend has exciting opportunities for Assistant Project Managers / Project Managers to join their successful Project Management team based in their Newcastle office. Their team is involved with many iconic, interesting and significant projects in their region. 

Their team provides a broad range of services from initial strategic advice through to delivery of projects so there is opportunity to build your career and develop your skills. They actively support career progression and provide a range of learning and development activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
a) Management of projects both pre and post-contract. 
b) Contributing to business development. 
c) Financial management of own commissions. 
d) Provide support on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery. 
e) Preparation of contracts for commissions to comply with Turner & Townsend Risk Management policy. 
f) Ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 
a) Demonstrable experience in Project Management of multiple multi-discipline engineering design and construction projects (>£10m Capital Expenditure). 
b) Construction or infrastructure background in at least one of the following sectors: water, gas, power, rail, light rail / trams, highways, environmental, regulated industries. 
c) Chartered / Associate or full membership of an appropriate professional institution. 
d) Both site and office based experience on a variety of project types including civil and building infrastructure projects. 

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 
a) Extensive practical experience of administering contracts under NEC forms will be a distinct advantage. 
b) Preferably degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, project management or surveying.
