Assistant Merchandiser

Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing leading ladieswear/fashion wholesaler/supplier to the retail industry in North Manchester. This growing business is seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support a Senior Merchandiser and a larger team of 9 on a daily basis. Your role will involve:-
* Managing 4 big retailer accounts
* Once you’ve proved yourself you will take on your own accounts
* Processing purchase orders
* Managing critical patch
* Sending samples out
* Checking samples
* Raising invoices
* Dealing with shipping
* Lead times – around 8-week production
* Learn about the EU regulations
* Dealing with backlog of accounts
* Updating customers on critical path
* Liaising with customers regarding any product issues
* Set up own critical path.
* Booking shipments in with the warehouse in Manchester
To apply you must have:-
* Assistant merchandising or merchandising experience within the fashion or textiles sectors..
* They will consider candidates who have done merchandising as a work placement
* Ideally a graduate in textiles or fashion
* Good MS Excel skills
* Experience of dealing with critical path
* Self starter, who is highly motivated and can deal with multi tasking
