Job Title Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

The Opportunity

• Assisting the Operations Manager on a day to day basis running the awarded restaurant and Conference & Banqueting facilities.
• Managing a team of full and part time staff, training, implementing standards and providing excellent customer service, maximising profits and exploiting opportunities for business growth
• Liaising with the Sales team to ensure the functions are ran according to the clients brief, setting up rooms, dealing with queries on a day to day basis and taking direction from the Operations Manager.
• Working both corporate regular accounts and private bookings, including conferences, weddings and exhibitions.
• Working 5 / 7 days straight shifts earlies and lates
• To support the Food & Beverage Manager in carrying out the Business plan for the hotel in line with strategy for the Hotel & spa
• Local accommodation can be sourced for £300 PCM
What we need from you
• Is commercially aware and has a hands on can do attitude, a manager who can lead by example and execute events and assist in the restaurant side of the business when required
• Ideally has experience in a similar operation has high standards and the ability to motivate and delegate.
• Can be accountable and responsible on shift and will report daily to the Ops Manager and will be ultimately responsible to the hotels General Manager
• Has a happy persona, is calm under pressure and will be the face of the place
• Lots of chance for career progression and to take the business forward
