With 10,000 acres under its management Elveden Estate is one of the largest single farm units in lowland Britain and has an enviable reputation for its farming and growing expertise.

In order to expand and strengthen the team we are looking for a dynamic and practical trainee farm manager with a genuine desire to play an active part in the running of this superb multifaceted farming business

The Role

Assistance in the day to day operational running of large mixed arable and root vegetable farming systems.
Reporting to and working alongside the Farm Manager.
Achieving operational targets both efficiently and to the highest standards.
Monitoring daily performance and managing a highly skilled labour force.
Ensuring daily work practices follow required guidelines and solving in field problems.Things we are looking for……….

A theoretical and practical understanding of large scale farm machinery.
High levels of energy and enthusiasm
Attention to detail with an excellent can-do attitude.
Great communication and excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to motivate a large skilled team on a daily basis.
A base level of understanding of crop husbandry relevant to arable and root vegetable crops.
