Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

The Assistant Compliance Officer Apprentice will be responsible for providing support in the day-to-day management of Compliance, providing assistance with Security Vetting, Health and Safety Management, Environmental Management and Quality Management.
Within this role your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Vetting Officer with the processing of SC clearance applications, transfers and renewals.
- Assisting applicants with vetting paperwork / e-form completion.
- Maintaining the Vetting Tracker.
- Creating Purchase Orders and assisting with Supplier Appraisal documentation.
- Updating and monitoring the Compliance Task tracker.
- Updating company wide procedures, process maps and forms.
- Uploading documentation to the company Intranet when required.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
- GSCE’s A – C grade, in English
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A good team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate on all levels.
- A flexible working attitude.
- A conscientious work ethic.
- Self-motivation to enable projects to be pushed through to completion.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Be willing to undergo SC clearance.

Programme Summary
The Business Administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity, showing a positive attitude. What will you learn?
You will gain knowledge, skills and behaviours during the apprenticeship, including:
- Understanding the organisational requirements, purpose, aims, and vision. This will include your responsibilities and the legislation and policies guiding this
- You will learn practical knowledge of managing stakeholders and their differing relationships to an organisation. This includes internal and external customers, clients and/or suppliers
- Understanding business principles and managing change, business finances and project management
- Understanding relevant external factors e.g. market forces, policy and regulatory changes, supply chain, and the wider business impact)
You will learn how to be professional, manage performance, personal qualities, adaptability and responsibility.
How is it delivered and assessed?
It typically takes 12-18 months to complete the apprenticeship, but this will vary depending on your experience and working pattern.
You will be allocated a Trainer Assessor who will support you throughout the apprenticeship with regular monthly sessions. This is flexible to apprentice requirements, however, contact is available and encouraged outside of this time so each apprentice receives the help they need. Trainer Assessors make good use of digital platforms to support this.
Workshops are available for groups and can be managed with employers at enrolment.
Practical Period
- New knowledge, skills and behaviours are delivered and assessed by your Trainer Assessor, with the support of your employer
- 20% off the job training is a mandatory requirement of all apprenticeship standards
- You will complete a Level 2 in maths and English, if applicable
Gateway
The gateway is the opportunity for the provider and employer to agree whether the apprentice is ready and ready to take their End Point Assessment (EPA).
End Point Assessment
The end point assessment is synoptic, and takes place at the end of the apprentice’s learning and development. The requirement is that the end point assessment is completed within three months from the start of the end point assessment period. The end point assessment is made up of the following components:
- A knowledge test
- A portfolio-based interview
- A project presentation
