Assistant Care Manager

Salary: £27,894 per year

BDS are recruiting for an Assistant Care Manager to be based at a brand new extra care scheme in Eastergate. This is an exciting opportunity to put your own stamp on the role and develop your career within the scheme.

This role is working within a scheme that provides an outstanding retirement living service to residents within their own apartments who have access to an onsite care team and range of social activities.

This role is a permanent position, the payrate is £27,894 p/a

The hours are 35 hours per week, with a mixture of earlies and lates.

Key tasks will include

Carrying out assessment of new or existing residents. Ensuring all allocated residents have a comprehensive care plan in place

Being responsible for the management and performance of care staff by providing induction, line management, supervision and support to a defined number of care workers

Support the management team with all aspects of team management including recruitment, staff induction, training and disciplinary procedures and sickness absence

Preparing rota’s in line with commissioned care hours

Acting as the responsible person for the safe running of the care service in the absence of the Registered Manager

The successful candidate will have experience in

* Staff observations

* Staff 121’s

* Care plan writing

* Residents assessments

* Auditing of mar charts and log sheets

* A good understanding of CQC regulation and how to apply these in practice
