A superb permanent job opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified/ fully- qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent assistant accountant to join my well established Shrewsbury clients. Joining a very stable business, situated in a charming rural Shrewsbury location. Our client is looking for someone with knowledge of accounts, who has the aptitude and enthusiasm to grow into a job role where you will be managing the day to day accounting processes for a portfolio of client accounts, as well as overseeing up to 6 junior members of staff with their own client accounts portfolios.

The job will cover a range of duties including:

• Credit control
• Purchase ledger
• BACS runs
• Maintaining accounts data on the bespoke system
• Producing reports using MS excel
• Reconciliations
• Ad – hoc requests as they arise

The ideal accounts candidate will have a firm understanding of accounting procedures inc. VAT, and will have the desire to oversee a finance team once they have bedded into the job. Applications are particularly welcomed from those with practice accounts experience, but applications from industry backgrounds are welcomed.
