Assembly Technician

Centronic is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of radiation detectors. We operate from an integrated site in Croydon, South London, UK where our capabilities include design, prototyping, full-scale in-house manufacturing and test.

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking to appoint experienced Assembly Technicians to build a range of precision Company products to an acceptable standard, following and adhering to written procedures within agreed timescales.

Duties include:
• Manufacturing assemblies and sub –assemblies to Company and Client documentation
• Supporting the department supervisor in meeting the departments order demand.
• Contributing to continuous improvement with regard to manufacturing processes
• Ensure documentation is fully completed and presentable to Clients.

Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:
• Qualifications or experience in precision instrument/mechanical assembly, toolmaking and fitting, including brazing
• Be able to follow engineering drawings, mechanical assembly procedures and work to tight tolerances.
• Good problem solving and team working skills, able to work under own initiative.
• Full clean driving licence.
