Assembly Team Supervisor

A fantastic and challenging opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Team Supervisor to join one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of upholstered furniture. This is a truly exciting time to join the organisation at their Lincolnshire site as they continue to develop to grow, something that is expected to continue well into the future.

Whilst reporting into the Assembly Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of an efficient and effective Assembly Team to meet daily Production requirements.

As a candidate, you will be required to identify online training requirements and incorporate into the master training schedule, ensuring teams are engaged through Continuous Improvement activities. You will ensure adherence to daily production plans and take necessary corrective actions if hourly targets are not being met and guarantee teams are motivated, as this role is predominantly about managing people. The successful candidate will ensure a product is manufactured to the desired quality standard through standardised work methods and techniques whilst ensuring shop floor adherence to company policies and procedures. The Assembly Team Supervisor will assist management to create a culture of Continuous Improvement within the assembly operations and assist in the implementation of weekly line side cycle counts to achieve world class levels of data accuracy.

As a person, you will have the ability to lead and motivate your team, have knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, have good written and verbal communication, be physically fit and have a previous good attendance record.

Flexibility is a very important aspect to the role. The working hours could range from 6am-10pm. 40 hours per week.

Salary for this position is £26,000, during the six month probation period rising to £23,180 with a final increment available of £24,725.
