Art Gallery Sales / Luxury Retail

An exciting sales based role within the retail division of the UK’s largest art group.

Salary: Circa £18,000 basic per annum (£22k to £28k OTE)

The Business

Castle Galleries are part of Washington Green, representing and selling the artwork of some of the finest artists in the country. We offer original paintings, limited edition prints and sculptures through our nationwide network of galleries.

The Role

The role of Art Sales Consultant is key to the success of our business, aimed at driving sales and developing business in a highly target driven environment. You will be the main point of contact for our customers, responding to interest in the Gallery and identifying opportunities to develop further business through use of the client database and local business links. The implementation of effective marketing and promotional activity will be key as you’ll be required to organise and support with various events, exhibitions and promotions. A detailed knowledge of art is not required as full training is provided.

The Person

Personality is central to making a success of this role and we specifically look for people who are outgoing, animated and can hold an articulate conversation. You’ll also need to be highly target driven, with a proven track record of sales success. We look for confident, stylish sales people who are passionate about our products and delivering exceptional levels of customer service. Experience of building long-term relationships with sales clients is highly desirable. Please note that we are not looking for aspiring artists.

N.B There is a requirement to work weekends. A driving license is also highly desirable as you may be required to undertake home consultation visits with clients.
