Area Sales Executive – Meat

Our client is an independent UK Catering Butchers and they are looking to strengthen their sales team with an ambitious and driven sales individual to develop and drive new business throughout the North West of England.

The Role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the main focus for the role is to win new business as well as develop and manage existing accounts such as hotels, pubs and restaurants in the North West. In this autonomous role, the successful candidate will be expected to set up regular appointments with new businesses and begin to build the relationships and grow the accounts. The area covered will be the North West with monthly meetings at the companies Head Office with the rest of the team.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for strong personalities and someone who will represent the brand of the business. You will be a hunter of new business and thrive on winning new accounts. In addition, you will also be organised and very good at account management and continuously building the relationships with your clients. You will be undeterred by rejections and will be able to continue to canvass new business by using innovative and creative ways of selling. Personality is key for this role, and applicants should be confident that when they walk in to a pub, hotel, or restaurant, they can instantly build a rapport with decision makers to build business relationships.

Meat sales experience to foodservice and catering establishments will be looked upon favourably and excellent knowledge of the meat industry will be a distinct advantage. Similarly if you have a background as a Head Chef and have a wide network of contacts, we would like to hear from you. All candidates will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits

In return for meeting the above criteria, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a Salary: £26,000 – £36,000 p/a (dependant on experience) as well as an uncapped commission, company car, laptop & phone.
