Area Manager – West Midlands

Our client is a rapidly expanding, highly successful Variety Retailer. They have grown from strength to strength over a sustained period, and are continuing to open new Stores and deliver results that defy the current trend.

They are now looking for a high calibre Area Manager in the West Midlands area.

The Role

• You will be Managing 10-15 Stores in the West Midlands Area, and will look to drive the Operations and Commerciality of the Team.
• Coaching and leading great people will be at the heart of everything you do, in order to deliver high performing Stores that deliver market leading customer service.
• You will look to spend quality time on your Area in the Stores in a hands on capacity, role modelling what good looks like, and working closely with your Store Managers to drive continued improvement.
• Store visits, and business plans will be central to helping you develop your teams.
• You will also work closely with the Regional Manager and HR Teams to develop and recruit the very best talent into your Stores.
• Conduct regular reviews and set goals/objectives with your Store Teams, as well as appropriate measures to tackle under performance in a professional and timely manner.

The Person

• You will currently be a AreaManager/Cluster Manager.
• It is essential that you will have gained experience in the FMCG Sector of Retail, Food/Value Retail is the highly preferred background.
• You will be a hands on operator, not scared to get involved in the day to day operations of your Stores in order to role model what good looks like, and to set the benchmarks for what is expected across the Area.
• Strong effective communicator with strong leadership qualities are an absolute must.
• You will be able to demonstrate a highly progressive CV and be able to articulate effectively how you have progressed and why you have moved.
• Highly analytical and business minded you will look to add value, and fresh ideas in what is a rapidly expanding business.

The Package

£42,000 – £48,000 Basic Salary + Car + Annual Bonus
