Area Business Centre Manager
Base Salary: £38,000 – £42,000
Location: Fully Remote – Covering a TBC Region of Scotland
Hours: 9am – 6pm (Monday – Friday).
Start Date: Immediate / After Notice Period
Two Stage Interview: 1st interview via Teams; final interview is office-based
- Our client is a nationwide flexi-office / serviced office provider. They are currently seeking an Area Business Centre Manager to manage newly opened and existing business centres throughout Scotland.
- This company is a (commercial property) managed operator that is part of a larger group with multiple serviced / flexible office brands across approximately 50+ business centres throughout Scotland, England, and Wales.
- Their services encompass office space leasing, business advisory services, commercial property finance and development.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
- The Area Business Centre Manager’s main focus is to lead, coach and mentor Business Centre Managers to deliver a great customer experience in a safe and compliant environment adhering to the company’s policies and processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
People Management & Centre Standards:
- Develop a high-performance culture through managing performance and identify training and development needs through 1:1 sessions, coaching, mentoring, CPD journal document and HR processes, KPI setting, team meetings and active participation around each business centre
- Train and develop the Business Centre Managers to deliver professional and friendly viewings, identify upselling opportunities and instill a commercial approach to the Business Centre Managers’ day to day routine
- Focus on continuous improvements to centre standards by using the Area Centre Manager’s Centre Visit Report, review service levels whilst reducing debt and increasing service revenue
- Identify and measure key performance indicators to support an effective operating rhythm
- Conduct regular physical and virtual centre visits and audits with direct line reports
- Ensure the centre operates in line with company policies, procedures and processes
- Ad hoc duties as and when required by the business
Property Management
- Ensure refurbishment and fit-out activity is managed effectively
- Carry out building inspections and audits as necessary
- Oversee the management of repairs & maintenance within the business centres
- Ensure appropriate health and safety arrangements are in place to minimise risks and provide for safe working conditions for staff, customers and visitors
- Ensure that the centres are on top of their mandatory H&S requirements and that certification is being uploaded to their portal in a timely manner
- Implement and support the centre teams to deliver the ‘Covid Secure Office’ at all times
- Implement timely remedial actions as required with direct reports
Debt Management
- Oversee customer debt in line with the company’s debt policy and process, making sure that all key stakeholders captured within the policy are up to date on progress
Compliance
- Ensure processes and controls are followed and compliance can be evidenced
- Escalate identified issues and risks
- To have up to date knowledge of GDPR and AML
- Ensure the business follows mandatory requirements for AML and GDPR
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
◉ 2yrs+ experience in the serviced office / flexible office industry / facilities management / hospitality management / commercial property management.
◉ Coaching experience within a customer-facing environment
◉ Remote multi-site management
◉ To have an understanding and work to policies and processes to deliver compliance to statutory H&S obligations
