This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company in South Oxfordshire and manage a small team and the AR ledger. You will be a critical part of the organisation, building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to drive efficiency and ensure the team are meeting KPIs.

Your new role

As The Successful Candidate, Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Tracking the AR ledger in line with defined KPIs including cash allocation, debtor days and transaction processing.
  • Driving efficiency and performance by implementing new business processes.
  • Monitor outstanding balances to ensure that all customer payments are made on time and deal with overdue accounts where appropriate.
  • Oversee processing and allocation of payments onto the AR Ledger including any deductions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and auditors as the main point of contact for the AR Ledger and resolve any disputes surrounding deductions where necessary.
  • Manage and develop the AR team members with regular performance reviews.
  • Produce AR reports with commentary in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage customer credit levels, requests and payment history.
  • Reconcile key customer debtor positions and complex accounts and oversee monthly customer statements.
  • Assist with cash collection forecasting and bank reconciliations.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

To be the successful candidate, you will need:

  • Strong experience in an AR or Credit Control role
  • Experience managing a small team desirably in AR
  • Experience in process improvements and implementations highly desirable
  • Strong Excel skills and, ideally, Sage and SAP experience
  • Ability to work across different interrelated systems
  • Experience with cash collections forecasting would be advantageous
