We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative apprentice who enjoys working as part of a team, is excited by technology and is keen to help others. The role involves supporting our tech team in schools, working alongside our web designer in our fabulous centre in Clapham and helping our computing teachers by ensuring our vast array of kit, from robots to 3D printers, is in full working order. What you’ll be doing as an Apprentice Infrastructure Technician
The role is varied. You could be working alongside one of our technicians in a school helping to resolve issues and ensure smooth running of the school system. On another day, you could be working up at the Festival Hall, supporting our computing teachers in running a day focusing on the use of virtual reality in the arts. You may find yourself deep inside the workings of one of our 3D printers trying to fix an issue, or it could be a day working with our web designer helping to create a site for teachers in the Middle East enabling them to share their skills and knowledge.

What experience / skills do I need?
At least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.

Firebrand offers a unique Advanced Level 3 IT Apprenticeship scheme that provides award-winning industry training and certifications, valuable work experience and offers on-going support all with the ultimate goal of securing you a long-term career within the world of technology.
During your 12 month IT apprenticeship programme, Firebrand will provide residential training at our distraction-free training centre. Our method of accelerated training allows you to achieve industry-recognised certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL and Microsoft faster, giving you more time to put your new skills in to practice within a working environment. Firebrand will also provide you with a Mentor who will be supporting and assisting you with your development. By the end of your 12 month apprenticeship, in addition to having numerous industry recognized qualifications, a steady career with a supportive employer, you will also be recognised by the British Computer Society (BCS) for entry onto the register of IT Technicians, confirming SFIA level 3 professional competence.
Future career prospects
By working hard and demonstrating your ability, drive and commitment throughout your 12 month apprenticeship scheme, upon completion you will have the opportunity for a permanent position.
