Analytical Chemist – Chemicals

Our SE based client is actively recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to carry out testing on a range of chemical products.

Duties for this position will include:-

* Performing a range of tests / analyses using analytical, wet chemistry and physical testing techniques to confirm physical and chemical properties of samples

* Preparing standards / samples

* Ensuring that all tests are conducted in agreement with established procedures and quality standards

* Timely reporting of results – ensuring customer satisfaction

* Producing reports for samples tested

* Assisting with Method Development

* Meeting objectives and ensuring KPIs are met

* Calibrating, maintaining instrumentation, including organising repair / maintenance by Engineers

* Ensuring that documented risk and COSHH assessments are followed at all times

To succeed you will need a HNC / BSc in Chemistry (or related subject), together with previous suitable skills and experience.

Note – As this role will involve working on a shift system with day and night work, it is essential that you have your own transport.

This is a permanent position, offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience) + shift allowance
