Salary: £26,400 – £27,600 per year
Smartway2recruit are looking to recruit an experienced export clerk to work for an expanding freight forwarder in Colnbrook.
The Role will include but is not limited to:
• To arrange the export of cargo by air.
• Liaise with Airlines
• Liaise with HMRC, Port & Plant Health and other government bodies
• Organise export clearances using SCS Multifreight), and correct documentation relating to the movement of cargo
• Create export documentation required for the shipping of cargo
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Liaise with overseas offices, partners and agents
• Strong Administration skills
• To sort, filter and distribute documentation, and create and maintain job files in an accurate and timely manner.
• Arrange the X ray screening of cargo in line with CAA/DFT regulations
• Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines and transporters
The successful candidate will have:
• At least 2 years’ experience
• A full 5 year checkable history
• Trained to security level D
The ideal candidate will have both experience with air exports and perishable foods.
The role will be based in Colnbrook, working Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 6pm
