Aftersales Manager – Engineering
Huddersfield
£47,000.00 p.a.
+ Business expenses paid when staying away.
+ Pension Employer contribution 7% when Employee contributes 2.5%
+ Health Insurance
+ 26 days holiday plus statutory (pro-rata)
Monday to Friday, minimum 35 hours per week
An established and very specialist engineering firm, who design, manufacture, install and maintain their equipment around the UK and some parts of Europe, are now keen to appoint an experienced Aftersales Manager with an engineering background.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will be diverse, hands on and comes with a lot of responsibility. You and your team will provide post-sale technical and commercial customer support, including spare parts identification, provision of drawings, parts lists and general technical support to existing customers, mostly throughout the UK.
You will be expected to manage the aftersales team, consisting of service and parts advisors.
ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
* Experienced Aftersales Manager with an engineering background.
* Experience of selling spare parts & planned refurbishments.
* Experience in leadership of team and team development.
* Ability to build relationships with clients.
* Mechanical Engineering qualification.
* Appreciation of electrical engineering.
* Driving licence
* Understanding of maintenance planning and input
* SAGE software, or similar, understanding
* IT literate
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Duties:
* Plan workload and ensure it is completed on time.
* Maintain current turnover levels with sustainable growth.
* Identify new aftersales business opportunities.
* Finding resources.
* Provide costing support.
* Provide commercial and technical assistance.
* Some site visits will be required.
* Occasional overnight stays.
* Liaison with Customers and Contractors.
* Representing the company professionally, always acting in its best interests.
* Ensuring not to bring the company into disrepute.
Expected to work within the scope of the:

** ISO 45001 Health &Safety
** Customer health and safety polices
Managerial Responsibilities:
* Supervision of Aftersales employees.
* Providing assistance and training to apprentices, labourers, semi-skilled staff etc.
* Representing the company professionally, always acting in its best interests.
* Ensuring not to bring the company into disrepute.
