Aftercare Worker
Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only
Monday to Friday 3.30 – 6.00pm – 12.5 hours per week
Salary: Grade 3 – Actual Salary: £26,000per year

JOB PURPOSE
The Aftercare worker will supervise children who remain behind in the Prep school after school has finished until they are collected by parents (no later than 6:00pm).

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the Supervisor in maintaining a register of pupils so that an accurate record of which students are present is always available. This includes signing out pupils when they leave.
* Maintain good order and behaviour of pupils so that a productive working environment is achieved for those pupils wishing to complete homework.
* Along with the supervisor, supervise pupils on the playground from end of day until 4:00pm when the clubs start
* Support pupils to complete their homework
* Aid pupils to gather and look after their belongings
* Arrange activities for the pupils when Homework is complete, this could be outside or inside depending on the weather.
* Undertaking any other reasonable task as instructed by members of the Senior Leadership Team of the School.

* The ability to work on his/her own initiative and also as part of a team
* Self-motivated and good time management skills
* Excellent organisational skills, discretion, confident
