About Haringey

Haringey Council is one of 32 in London. Haringey is an extremely diverse borough, and the Council has set clear ambitious objectives through its borough plan to make Haringey a better place to live, encourage investment and create opportunities that all can share. Haringey’s vision for the future is one of sustainable growth, in housing and jobs and on helping our residents and businesses take advantage of that growth. We have got huge ambitions for Haringey. As the shape of local government continues to change, we are determined to rise to the challenge and find new ways to ensure that our residents enjoy the best opportunities in life. Working at Haringey gives you the opportunity to play a part in meeting those ambitions on behalf of everyone who calls the borough their home.

About the Role

Haringey Council’s Housing Delivery team is leading on the delivery of one of the Council’s top priority programmes. Our programme covers a broad range of housing schemes, from small infill sites to large, complex development projects.
With work underway or completed on over 2,000 homes and a pipeline of new schemes to progress we are looking for someone to deliver our aftercare service, connecting our residents to our contractors when issues and defects arise in our new homes.
This is an exciting role within an ambitious and supportive team who are focused on delivering the first Council homes for a generation and providing our residents with real choice and opportunity.

Working for Haringey

At Haringey Council we are committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits of a diverse workforce so welcome applications from all ethnicities and communities so that we continue to make a difference to our residents and community.
Our benefits package includes a leave entitlement of 31 days + bank holidays, potential hybrid working opportunities, health and wellbeing support, a generous local government pension scheme and a range of discount schemes across leisure and culture that provide both financial and money-saving discounts.

About You

We are looking for someone with a technical understanding of understanding of newly built homes and the repairs and defects that can arise, as well as being able to communicate with residents, contractors and wider stakeholders to action tasks appropriately. Ideally with a background in housing, you will be able to deal with the challenge of a reactive service supporting our residents in their new homes.
We need a strong communicator who can work effectively and manage a varied caseload. You will be a self-starter who works well on own initiative and as part of a team, as you will be expected work collaboratively with other departments and with our contractors.
We are a high-achieving team that is committed to supporting one another in delivering successful projects, with ambitious targets to meet to support the delivery of affordable homes for the residents of Haringey.
