At Alliance Homes, we’ve made great strides in decarbonising our homes, helping to improve comfort for residents, tackle fuel poverty, and make heating bills more affordable. More than 85% of our homes have an energy efficiency rating of EPC band C or above and we’ve recently secured a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund allocation that will support our target to upgrade all our housing stock to this standard by 2030.

A third of our existing homes are fitted with PV panels, while our new build properties are equipped with sustainable heating alternatives like air source heat pumps, and designed to be highly energy efficient (including to Passivhaus standard). Recently, we were granted bronze status by SHIFT, the social housing sustainability accreditation scheme, underlining our commitment to continuously measure and improve our sustainability performance.

What you’ll do

While we’re proud of our achievements, we know there is a lot more to do. That’s why we’re looking for a motivated Sustainability Manager to help us achieve our ambition of becoming a greener organisation, benefitting our customers, colleagues and the environment.

As Sustainability Manager, you will work with our Asset Strategy and Planned Investment teams to deliver our asset decarbonisation plans, while developing a sustainability strategy for our homes and business infrastructure and leading on its implementation.

You’ll also have the opportunity to review and improve our ESG reporting and use of grant funding.

If you’re passionate about housing and sustainability, this is your chance to join an agile and diverse organisation and make a positive difference to our customers and the environment.

What we’re looking for

As an expert in sustainability, energy programmes and carbon reduction, you will have experience of designing strategies that help organisations to achieve their goals.

Ideally, you’ll have experience within the social housing sector, or a deep understanding of energy performance and carbon reduction risks and requirements.

An effective communicator and accomplished leader, you will be able to maximise our teams’ potential through coaching and upskilling, alongside advocating for the environment.

Why choose us?

Join an agile and diverse organisation where you can leave your mark on our environmental journey. Be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and making a positive impact.
