Salary: £480 per day

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advisory Services Performance Manager to work within Central Government. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to work with a prestigious contracting body for the Central Government. This position will be based in Liverpool initialy for 3 months at up to £480 per day LTD Company. Due to the nature of this Security Clearance is required, however all candidates will be considered.

Essential Experience:
Ability to lead, engage and manage peers and more senior colleagues without the benefit of direct reporting lines – Excellent analytical and research skills – Outstanding stakeholder management, engagement and influencing skills in a complex customer and supplier environment – experience of successfully communicating category/ business performance in meaningful ways to customers and stakeholders – High level of IT literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience required:
to demonstrate an all round understanding of the Advisory Services category.
Required to demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the implication of the Cabinet Office controls for Government spending.
Responsibility for maintaining controls in line with government processes and suggesting and implementing amendments to existing processes and controls as required within the Category.
Professionally present and able liaise at all levels and across Government Departments, delivering a complete service which demonstrates management of spend by Departments on external consultancy.
Delivery of specific initiatives/targets, including spend, efficiency, supply performance and departmental compliance
Maintaining departmental relationships to build, implement and deliver specific initiatives relating to spend, savings and performance management
of departmental spend, savings and compliance reporting and resolution (escalation to Category lead where necessary)
Management of staff performance and development – post holder will have staff management responsibilities and it is expected that the individual will have a key role in coaching and developing staff within the function
Developing opportunities to improve Data Completeness, timeliness and Quality
Deputise for Category lead as appropriate
Operate within category management methodology by analysing detailed spend and transactional and pricing data
Benchmarking data across the category to drive continuous improvement and measure success
Proactive and auditable compliance with all corporate policies and procedures
Provide guidance and coaching to staff – set targets and support staff to achieve these
