Job Title: Administrator

Department: Screening

Reporting To: Screening Manager

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week; 10.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Purpose of the role: The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for CRY’s extensive heart screening program. The role incorporates general receptionist duties (answering phone calls and e-mails) as well as taking care of screening equipment (i.e. sorting/booking machine service and repair, ordering consumables), managing technicians’ database. CRY has a number of established screening clinics at specific locations around the UK and also operates a mobile screening unit which can be used to conduct screenings in any appropriate venue.

Duties of the role:

  • General phone answering. This includes dealing with screening enquiries, daily phone contact with bereaved families – appropriate guidance / training will be given with regards to how to manage these interactions.
  • E-mail answering duties – regular checks of the ECG mailbox, sorting screening interest lists.
  • Booking servicing and repair for CRY ECG and ECHO machines.
  • Managing the technicians’ database (i.e. contact details updates, db check renewals etc.)
  • Providing admin support for specific CRY departments or events when required – for example, mass-participation fundraising events (such as the London Marathon, Great North Run, etc); and the annual CRY International Medical Conferences
  • Other office administration tasks at the request of the CRY Screening Manager, CRY Deputy Chief Executive or CRY Chief Executive.

Qualifications:

Essential:Minimum of GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

Preferred:Bachelor of Science (BSc)

Benefits: CRY operates a limited flexi-time policy

Salary / Wages: £16,716 (starting)

Holiday Entitlement: 20 days plus Bank Holidays

Other Benefits: Long service bonus to annual leave (additional half day for each full 12 months of service)

Location: Based at CRY’s Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey

Start Date: January 2014
