General description of the role
We are seeking an administration assistant to support our pension scheme administration service.
You will be required to support the administrators by processing incoming post, following processes, updating records, inputting data and general office/clerical duties. You will be responsible for following processes closely to deliver work to a high standard, some of which will be technical.
The role involves dealing with confidential information therefore a high level of discretion and professionalism is essential, you must also be able to work under pressure when high processing volumes will be required.
No prior pension administration experience is needed as all training will be provided. The ideal candidate will already have gained experience of working in an office environment, have excellent computer skills and be able to process work to a very high standard.
Main duties of the job
1. Opening and processing post.
2. Scanning documents.
3. Following processes.
4. Inputting data.
5. Producing letters and emails based on set templates.
6. Answering incoming calls and taking messages.
7. Using computer systems.
8. Printing and sending outbound post.
9. General administrative duties.

Qualifications or equivalent experience

BENEFITS
Salary – £18,000 a year.
Life cover
In the event of your death, the life assurance plan provides a tax free lump sum of 4 times Reference Salary to your nominated dependents, at the discretion of the Trustee.
Critical illness
4x salary subject to a maximum of £100,000.00.
Critical Illness protection provides a tax free lump sum if you suffer one of a number of critical illness events and survive for 14 days after its occurrence or diagnosis.
Income protection
Group income protection (also known as long term disability insurance and permanent health insurance) provides an income to those employees absent for more than 26 weeks. The benefit is paid until retirement, leaving the company or death.
The core benefit of 50% of Reference Salary is subject to an overall maximum equating to 75% less notional Single Person State Incapacity Benefit. In certain circumstances, depending on the level of your Reference Salary, this may equate to less than 50% of your Notional Salary.
Pension
Through the Plan, you can choose the level of SMART (or Salary sacrifice) contribution you wish to make, to a Group Personal Pension Plan with Aviva. As your contribution is made in this way, it is not liable for income tax or National Insurance contributions.
The Company’s contribution will depend on the level of your SMART Contribution as follows:

You can contribute more than 3% if you wish, but the maximum Company contribution will be 6%.
Bonus
Exceptional performing employees as part of our performance development process may also be considered for an annual one-off non-consolidated bonus, up to 15% of salary earned in the previous appraisal year. Bonuses are paid based on overall company performance but have been regularly awarded to all members of staff since Premier started in 2003.
