AD Quality Controller – Full Time – West Sussex

I am currently recruiting a Quality Controller in Hayward’s West Sussex; for my client; an established and growing group who currently sit inside the top 15 of the Sunday Times Top 100 best companies to work for list. As well as a competitive salary there is a generous benefits package.

You will be working within a growing, claims department, where you will contribute to the claims business plan through the quality auditing of Standard AD claims handlers across Hayward’s Heath Independently managing the identification of trends and development needs for handlers through completed quality audits and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
o Deliver against agreed objectives, KPI’s and SLA’s in order to carry out responsibilities and meet agreed service and performance targets
o Ensure claims are handled within set guidelines and objectives
o Maintain detailed knowledge of claims handling practice.
o Ensure compliance to company reserving and payment philosophy.
o Assisting in authorising cheques in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining volume and cheque return data.
o Know, understand and apply the principles of TCF, and report any potential area of risk to the Technical Supervisor and Claims Manager
o Be conversant with financial implications of claim reserving and settlements. Identify, resolve and monitor any areas of weakness or inconsistencies
o Complete ad hoc audits on team members where required in addition to the Team Leader audits and provide the relevant information to Team Leaders to enable them to put development plans in place to address training needs.
o Complete Ad Hoc Department audits as required
o Deliver general and bespoke training as required
o Be able to understand and guide handlers with Standard AD claims in line with claims practices, procedures and philosophies.
o Maintain existing MI Databases to report on trends and analyse results of audits and reviews.
o Production of post audit reports

Key skills:

o Previous leadership experience in a claims environment is desirable but not essential.
o Good level of motor claims handling experience
o Full technical and product knowledge along with financial understanding of claim reserving and settlements
o Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
o Strong customer service and resolution skills
o Ability to mentor and train
o Report writing and ability to analyse outcomes and MI
o Demonstrates a full understanding and ability to implement delivery of department KPI’s and SLA’s
o Where applicable, to adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly
o Where applicable, to ensure that DPA, FCA, TCF and other regulatory requirements are met
