My clients a well established freight forwarder based within the Heathrow area. They are seeking a Accounts assistant/ operations clerk- dealing with imports and exports.

The role would be 70% accounts and 30% import/export operations.

Duties would include:

  • Daily accounting duties
  • Overseeing sales and purchase ledger
  • Looking at profit and loss reports
  • Invoicing
  • Carrying out BACS and CHAPS payments
  • Ordering office necessities/ Stationary
  • Raising job files
  • Assisting with imports and exports
  • Customs entries
  • Liaising with hauliers, oversea agents and airlines

Skills needed:

  • PC literal
  • Experience using sage 50
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of imports and exports
  • Quick learner
  • Experience within the freight/ courier industry is essential

Working hours:

  • Monday- Friday 09:00-17:30
