Accounts Assistant – Real Estate. Our Client is a fast growing specialist developer within the student accommodation sector. The currently operate specifically in the Central London markets and looking to almost double the number of beds. As a result of this rapid growth, they are now looking to fill a newly created position for an Accounts Assistant.

The Role: Reporting the Financial Controller and working as part of a small accounting team, you will be required to fulfil the following duties:

• Post credit card and bank receipts.
• Reconcile aged debtor balances between accounts system and reservations system.
• Load charges from reservation system to Accounting system.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Liaise with and chase students on outstanding payments.
• Liaising with Building Managers and Reservations on student charges and account queries.

The Person: To apply, you must have at least 5 years’ sales ledger / accounts receivable experience, ideally gained from a property organisation (investment, development, management). Strong IT skills and experience of a property management system such as QUBE, TRAMPS or Yardi are essential as are good Excel skills. Good, solid communication skills (verbal and written) are key as part of this very busy and growing environment. You will be willing to work as part of a small team and be happy to take on additional accounting duties as and when needed.
