Account Manager – Fine Art Shipping

My client is one of Europe’s leading Fine Art Handling, Transport and Shipping Companies, with clients across the Museum, Gallery and Private sector, both in the UK and Internationally. The Gallery and Collector Team is a core part of their business and is rapidly expanding year on year.

The role of the Account Manager is a full time position and will involve a hands on approach to managing some major galleries and private clients. The successful candidate will have previous experience within the art shipping industry, will be responsible for and managing at least one Assistant. It is an office based role and will involve opportunities to visit both UK and International based clients. The successful applicant must be honest, conscientious, hard working, flexible and willing to adapt to our client’s needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To be an integral part of the Gallery and Collector Team focussed on providing a premium service.
• To provide assistance to the General Manager.
• Maintain files and communicate with clients, arranging fine art transport, packing, shipping and storage services.
• Maintain and update records, inventories and other management information.
• Ensuring that projects are managed and delivered within the constraints of the estimate provided, keeping clients informed of any changes.
• To ensure all work is handled in a professional and consistent manner to meet the client’s service requirements.
• Dealing with storage inquiries and liaising with our warehouse.
• To attend in-house training for packing, handling and airport operations.
• Any other duties that may be delegated to you, for example, supporting any member of staff at any given time.
