Account Manager – Energy & Brokers
Salary – £48k – £60k + Excellent bonus potential & package
Location – Can be based anywhere (Home and field based) – Required at head office twice a month
Timeframe – Full budget and signoff for this role given. If possible we would like to appoint in 2013
Main Duties:
The main purpose of this role within our business is to develop relationships with Broker organisations in the Industrial & Commercial sectors of energy with an objective to secure the profitable supply of energy to the client sites and accounts they manage.
Develop relationships across each Broker organisation in an effort to ensure that all influencers and decision makers are in scope as identifiable routes to gain and retain business. Develop a sound working appreciation of how each Broker business model operates, the emphasis they give to flexible and fixed contracts and the methodology they follow in making supplier choice decisions. Achieve reliable feedback that informs Haven how our proposals have been ranked versus other suppliers – both when we secure and fail to win business – to ensure the business has a reliable view of its position, price and package, within the supplier fraternity.
Identify other areas of “added value business” within the Broker organisation. Have the ability to work to challenging and stretching sales targets which will be mutually agreed with the Consultant Sales Manager from time to time. Generates profitable business for our business on both core and additional sales
Job Description:
- Establish and maintain a database of Energy Broker prospects for the purpose of acquiring sales to meet business plan levels
- Identify and target end user client opportunities to tender within each Broker business.
- Grow excellent relationships with key individuals within each target Broker organisation.
- Obtain a good understanding of Broker business strategy and culture
- Deliver against account plans to agreed targets with the ability to work towards achieving a performance in excess of the “on target” performance.
- High activity levels to exceed business targets
- Ability to be innovative in terms of the energy products offered where required to customers including designing, in liaison with the Sales and Marketing manager, electricity and energy contracts that suit individual customers needs and can effectively compete against our competitors.
- Produce well structured proposals in response to invitations to tender and customers requests.
- Successfully negotiate new contract and renewals.
- Negotiate to maintain standard terms and conditions avoiding special clauses or bespoke arrangements
You will need to be experienced within the energy industry dealing with businesses energy and electricity contracts. This may be from renewable energy, energy management or energy risk management.
Although this is a sales and business development role, key account relationship building are critical to be successful in this role. We would like to be able to see experience of this within your CV.
