ACCOUNT MANAGER – (ADVERTISING AGENCY)

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with agency and retail experience to join one of the UK’s largest and most successful integrated marketing communications agencies.

Forming part of a worldwide agency network that spans 300 cities across 125 countries you will be joining a global marketing communications agency that transforms brands and grows businesses, large and small, on a national and international scale. Based south of Manchester this agency employs around 250 people and is now looking for an experienced Account Manager/ Retail Account Manager to work on one of the agency’s largest retail accounts.

With a dedicated focus on one particular region, the purpose of the role is to gain local knowledge and insight, strengthening the client profile within the region, and acting as a local contact to key regional stakeholders.

On a day to day basis the role will include:

• Face to face contact in the designated region so travel will be a requirement;
• Site visits to highlight the competitor set and provide regional competitor insight;
• Identifying key influencers and marketing opportunities across all channels within the region;
• Provide a regional perspective on all national activity;
• Communicate national activity that has relevance to key regional stakeholders.

To be successful in this role we are seeking an experienced Account Manager with:

• Previous agency experience, specifically dealing with a fast moving retail account;
• Demonstrable knowledge, insight and passion for the retail industry;
• An understanding of the trends and dynamics within the retail industry in order to have and promote a point of view;
• Excellent communication skills and ‘client first’ oriented;
• Experience of handling large volumes of work and working to tight, fast deadlines.
