We are offering one exceptional candidate the chance to be an Account Manager to oversee the management of the customer relationship, four distribution centres and four outbases for the Nisa contract. To maximise the weekly, monthly and annual commercial performance of the sites by providing focus on customer requirements, collaboration and operational performance with a motivated and engaged workforce. Working closely with the key customer contact to deliver all required changes in performance to deliver both large and multiple projects.


What are you accountable for achieving as an Account Manager?

Develop and lead the Senior Team to drive the day to day operations and deliver site and Customer strategy
Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure that budget control, forecasting for the future are effective and accurate
Ensure the day to day operations, through the Senior Team are delivered and a culture of continuous improvement is instilled in the team.
Strong knowledge of transport operations in an open book environment
Work closely with the customer contact to ensure a first class customer relationship
Involvement in both contractual and commercial negotiations
Create a culture of continuous improvement and “Value” for both the customer and DHL
Develop and drive an excellent working environment where the direction is clear and all are motivated and respected.
Responsibility for own and Senior Team development
Compliance with company and local statutory obligations regarding WTD legislation, operator licensing, tachograph, Health, Safety and Quality.
Create talent and succession plans including training / development and mentoring programmes by identifying the potential in all team members
Oversee and manage key projects and initiatives for DHL and the customer
Ensure all staff are fully engaged and well briefed and communicated to.

Essential
Difficult Customer Relationship Management at a Senior level
Experienced change manager
Succession planning & development of key managers
5 years experience in logistics management roles
IT literate
Finance/Profit & Loss Management
Both large and multiple Project Management
People Management
Transport Expertise
Strong Negotiation Skills
Strong Commercial Skills
Multi site contract
Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional qualifications
Desirable
Member of CILT
Transport Operations Qualification (CPC National and International or equivalent)
