The role will be of strategic importance to nurture develop and grow our relationships with the our clients in Babington. The Account Manager will be responsible for the ownership and development of complex, end to end, solutions for high value customers to increase commercial and customer success.
The role will require senior solution-sales and talent development capability; with the ability to structure and implement strategic account plans, focussed on maximising Apprenticeship and Commercial Training revenue to deliver growth and value targets.
Brief summary of principle accountabilities
- Main point of contact for stakeholders accounts – Embedded into their organisation – able to directly support discussions with senior colleagues across the business.
- A solution led approach to business development, partnering with large clients to identify talent needs, and shaping solutions using Babington’s portfolio of Apprenticeships, Commercial Training and Adult Skills.
- Work with employers to develop sector specific programmes, designed to engage new recruits and/or upskill the current workforce – utilising available funding and advising on eligibility criteria
- Work in partnership with operational colleagues and delivery teams to ensure full awareness of pipeline, and plan future resource needs, and high-quality onboarding and delivery experiences.
- Keep abreast of policy developments and regulatory compliance requirements within the sector to ensure Babington capitalise opportunities, locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Influence Babington Marketing and thought leadership within designated Key Accounts – to support on the messaging for website content, blogs, case studies and thought pieces focused on industry trends.
- Developing and owning client account engagement plans, which clearly defines strategy and objectives for growth on a client-by-client basis.
Qualifications
- Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
- Industry Recognised Sales Management Qualifications
Skills and experience
- Experience of setting the vision and direction for new programmes of work
- Experience of multi-site people management and performance enhancement
- Experience of utilisation of Apprenticeships/Government funded training
- Experience of building creative and innovative ways to deliver programmes
- Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision
- Experience of creating highly effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Experience of leading projects including stakeholder management and the successful reporting measurement of programme KPIS
