About the company:

  • Growth within the business has led to a new vacancy for an Account Handler, an all-rounder who is looking to get involved in all aspects of the company
  • They are an independent, family run business with a small friendly team, looking for a new addition to support with workload

About the role:

  • This role is predominantly account handling, with the opportunity to work with commercial cases and/ or private clients
  • Renewal broking of commercial risks with SME type clients i.e. restaurants, shops, offices, D&O
  • Dealing and negotiating with Insurers over renewal quotations and some new business
  • First point of contact for claims
  • Calculating and delivering premiums
  • Completing business reports to clients with correct terms and conditions of policy
  • Meeting tight deadlines in respect of the above

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will be a commercial account handler who has some private lines experience
  • My client will also consider private client account handlers who have knowledge and experience of commercial lines
  • If you have claims experience or you have acted as the first point of contact for claims this would be an addition for the role
  • A thorough understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines as applied to the type of client being dealt with
  • Knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles
  • Knowledge of the insurance markets available
