Account Executive / Trainee Stockbroker

Due to continued expansion an exciting, dynamic private client advisory and execution only stockbrokers specialising in retail securities, CFDs, FX, ISAs and SIPPs currently have opportunities for Account Executives to join their successful team. It is based in the City of London and regulated by the FCA.

Ideal candidates will have financial telephone sales experience and must be, ambitious, energetic, confident, focused and prepared to work long hours.

This role means you will be working in a professional, compliant environment, where you will be provided with the opportunity to develop a long term career within the Financial Sector.

Job Role:

– Responsible for marketing leads generated by the company
– Keeping in regular contact with existing prospects
– Sourcing new prospects via networking.
– Assisting prospective clients through the account opening process
– Ensuring personal development within the profession by showing a willingness to take further exams/courses to broaden knowledge in all of the company’s proposed product lines
– Upholding the values of TCF
– Understanding the complexities of Compliance and working well alongside them to make their job as easy as possible
– Ensuring all operations are carried out in accordance with the firm’s own policies and procedures in addition to FCA rules
– Ensuring outstanding customer service
– Communicating effectively with other staff in the company
– Performing Adhoc admin duties
– Aiding the firm in developing its overall standing in the market
– Acting as an ambassador for the company both internally and externally at all times

Candidate – Skills and Competencies:

– The ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
– Understanding, knowledge and experience of FCA regulation within the retail broking field (beneficial but not essential)
– A proven record of good customer service (beneficial but not essential)
– The ability to communicate effectively across all levels
– A desire to gain good market knowledge
– Attributes such as confidence, approachability, professionalism and ambition
– A good understanding of ACT, Outlook, Word, Excel (beneficial but not essential)
– Good organisational and time management skills

Qualifications:

– Although they do not require you to have qualifications to perform this job role they will expect you to study for the various financials exams to acquire FCA registration during your time at the company. You will be expected to take your first exam after 3 months of service.
