We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Account Director to escape the British weather and join the Barcelona arm of a highly prestigious brand/advertising agency.
The Agency
This is a truly global agency, with a solid history in the healthcare communications industry. You would be joining a network of over 60 global offices offering expertise in multichannel marketing, media and creative outlets within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device area. Their work reaches HCPs worldwide.
The Role
The primary functions of this role will cover: strategic client contact; direct client campaigns/program management; people and team management; account profitability and new business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic international account direction, including strategic, creative and all budgeting/financial responsibilities.
- Assume line management duties including conducting appraisal interviews and monitoring of appraisal objectives.
- Lead, motivate and direct staff to their full potential
- Take an active role in ‘on the job’ training of staff and ensure team understanding of client corporate values and personality profiles of individual clients.
- Liaise with client by actively participating in the development of client marketing strategy and thinking as well as undertaking client appraisal mechanism and ensure outcomes are implemented.
- Maintaining partnership with client and Creative Director in a consultant/advisor role.
- Keeping abreast of new issues, events and changes in the external environment that may impact on programmes and client objectives. Proactively advise client on these changes and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client.
- Proactively driving new business strategies to grow business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant codes of practice/legislation governing ethical advertising/media/web-based communication with healthcare professionals, patients and public.
- Being responsible for all quality and accuracy of briefs, account handlers and material produced.
- Being responsible for meeting all deadlines in a timely fashion.
You
To be considered for this role you must be a fluent english speaker, already an Account Director or Senior Account Manager in a global healthcare communications agency or similar looking to take the next step.
