Account Director, Healthcare Advertising Agency, London / Surrey

The Company:
Due to continued success one of our favorite healthcare advertising agencies is currently seeking an Account Director to be office based on the Surrey/London border.

The Role:
The Account Director will provide leadership and management of allocated accounts, developing strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of the accounts. Main responsibilities will involve a range of client management, people management, finance, new business and general administration.
– Ability to interpret briefings from clients and provide strategic / tactical input when relevant
– Management of client expectations
– Line Management for at least 2 members of staff (AE/AM level)
– Motivation of teams and input into their objectives and reviews as appropriate
– Delegation of jobs and activities as appropriate in each account
– A thorough understanding of the Brand Audit process, including the ability to develop them and ensure that they are consistently used
– Ability to develop inspirational written creative briefs and strong verbal briefing ability
– To be aware of and seek new business opportunities
– To lead pitches
– Setting and delivery of budget and profit for each client including negotiating fees with clients

The Candidate:
The Successful Account Director will have a demonstrated background in healthcare advertising, a strategic mind and be a team player. Key skills will include:
– Advising / consulting / motivation/ leadership/ team player
– Clear communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and aural
– Strong financial acumen including profitability and ability to negotiate fees
– Strategic thinking through to tactical implementation, including development of Brand Audits where required
– Business development and pitch lead
– Excellent organisational, planning and administration skills
– Good people management skills
