Software Developer – Telford – £35k + benefits

As a Software Developer you will be joining an established (20+ years) Technology company that are currently growing and have won lots of awards. You’ll be joining a team of 13 Software Developers. Primarily working existing software systems, however there will be the opportunity to develop systems from scratch. The multiple projects you will be working are mainly portals and billing systems for customers and a range of internal interfaces for staff. Extroverts / Introverts are welcome to this role, however you do need good communications (telephone / email / meeting) skills on an occasional basis… Your Main responsibilities will be designing, developing, supporting and maintaining web based interfaces.

As a Software Developer, your main duties will be:

* Designing, installing, testing and maintaining software systems.

* Problem Solving

* Data querying

* Incident management (internal and external)

* Providing support for web based legacy systems

* Keeping your software / Technical knowledge up to date

* Suggesting more efficient solutions

To be successful for this Software Developer role, you need the following skills / experience:

* knowledge of software development fundamentals.

* Experience of Java programming.

* Knowledge of MVC Framework

* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

* Passion for your technology and an open mind to look at other tools to do the job.

* Willingness to learn Salesforce.

Any knowledge / understanding / experience of Salesforce is of interest, but not essential – training will be provided.
