970 – IT Graduate Programme

With a successful track record in Graduate Programmes in other areas of the business, we are proud to introduce our first IT Graduate Programme. A driving factor behind this decision was our ambitious growth plans and the need to have a strong IT infrastructure at our core to complement our plans. By using technology we’re hoping to maximise our profitability by helping our customers in stores and online and many of the processes and support start at our Store Support Centre in Leicester.

To give you an idea of our growth plans, over the last 5 years we have grown retail selling space and turnover by around 10% each year. It’s very much a business which is still on a journey. As we continue to grow we’re looking for talented, passionate people with great ideas to join us.

If you are a graduate who’s interested in a career in IT and wants to work in a fun and growing organisation then we have created the perfect job for you!

You’ll join us as an important member of our busy and fast moving IT department. Right from the beginning, you will be involved in projects across all areas of IT, giving you great opportunities to progress your career.

This is a two year programme that will develop both your technical and commercial skills setting you up to be a future leader within our IT function. You will follow a rotational programme encompassing IT Services, Programmes, Infrastructure Engineering and Projects. Upon completion of your scheme, together, we’ll assess where your strengths lie and make a conscious decision on your future career with us.

The fine print…

· You will be University educated to a minimum standard of 2:1 Honours and have a genuine interest in building a career within IT. You will have graduated in the last two years or will be expecting to graduate with a 2:1 Honours degree in Summer 2015,

· You will be self-motivated, resilient and eager to seek out new learning opportunities

· You will have relevant work experience and be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and an understanding of general IT principles

· You will have high standards of written and verbal communication, as well as advanced numerical/ analytical skills and problem solving capability
