7.5 Tonne Drivers needed

Reading, Thatcham, Newbury area

Salary: £26,000 – £32,760per year (dependant on class of vehicle driven)

Temporary Ongoing- Assignments are for a MINIMUM of 5 weeks but likely to roll over on a weekly basis.

Our client is currently looking for driven, target focused 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join a great Logistics and Warehousing company with many major contracts based in Reading, Thatcham and Newbury.

Skills required

Full HGV Driving Licence
No more than 6 points on your licence (NO D10’s)
DCPC Card
A strong knowledge of local routes and motorway networks
Excellent understanding of driver`s hours and work time directive
Over 18 years old due to insurance purpose
Deal with basic routine checks on vehicle prior to leaving depot
Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
Supervising or helping to load and unload goods
Ensure loads are safely secured
Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary
Completing delivery paperwork and log books
Follow instructions from the depot
