Talent Acquisition Manager

InterQuest Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of an American telco giant who are partnering with a UK retailer to expand their operations. Reporting to the People & Culture Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Director the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for the retail talent acquisition within their region. The purpose of Role is to devise, establish and execute a market resourcing strategy and service that is delivered in a timely, relevant and consistent manner in line with Resourcing Strategy and the target operating model. This is a critical role to ensure that in all new store opening markets we attract, select and promote the right retail colleagues to have the best Wireless colleagues in the industry.
Recruitment and Selection
This role will be accountable for the project management plan and service delivery for the 15 week People NSO to ensure that all recruitment needs are adhered to.
The role will be responsible for overseeing the hiring of all Branch Managers, Assistant Managers and the Retail Colleagues for a new market which would be upto 100 roles to recruit in any one month based on 10 store openings per month. With such volume of recruitment, communicating performance against the resourcing and labour modelling plan will be critical as without the people we cannot open a store.
Working with the Talent Acquisition Director, the role will have responsibility to develop the the Employment Brand through the creation of beliefs and values and promotion in external / internal media.
To lead and create all Retail Colleague local advertisements that deliver the brand and promote Sprint as an employer of choice within the market.
Create strong relationships with higher educational institutions, miltary careers services and use social media to promote the Vacancies in the market.
Ensure that the NSO team and managers are implementing and using all best practice recruitment and selection policies / tools to deliver a consistent employee experience. Continuous improvement of recruitment tools and processes within the joint venture in accordance with the needs of the business is paramount.
Responsible for delivering Recruitment Training and upskilling Sales Managers and Assistant Managers in resourcing, interview and assessment techniques and employment law i.e. discrimination, contracts, asylum and immigration; providing regular feedback where appropriate.
Communicate the project and resourcing plan for the market to key stakeholders.
Co-ordinate and facilitate all Assessment & Development Centres (as appropriate).
Retention Management
Liaise with HR Team to ensure that competitive, innovative and relevant compensation and benefit packages to attract, motivate and retain employees of the company are in place.
Liaise with Talent Acquisition Director to implement retention strategies in order to improve motivation and reduce turnover.
Manage and co-ordinate the ‘one month review’ process.
Ensure diversity policies and strategies are in place to reflect a workforce that represents the local population.
Project Management, Planning and budgetary responsibilities
Set the market Recruitment Plan for the year according to business needs and review with Directors and senior Managers on a regular basis and form into a project plan.
Manage the market Recruitment Budget.
Constantly strive to drive down ‘cost per hire’ performance indicator whilst improving quality
Ensure that recruitment budgets are adhered to.
Track recruitment costs on a monthly basis and communicate to key stakeholders.
Co-ordination/administration
- To post all vacancies internally
- To post vacancies on Internet Job Boards
- To liaise with Recruitment Agencies / RPO on a day-to-day basis (if required)
- To conduct initial screening and telephone screening
- To write all candidate correspondence, including ‘invites to interview;’ regret etc.
- To facilitate at assessment centers/open days/job fairs
- To produce and maintain a candidate database, and to keep in touch with potential candidates
- To collect employment details for HR processing of new hires
- To communicate with Induction Team to inform them of potential numbers of new starters
Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
WORK EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in selection and assessment of Retail Sales roles.
Experience of working within the Retail industry and experience of assessment centres and psychometric testing.
Project Management expertise.
To have worked within a resourcing role for at least two years as a Branch Manager or above.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Qualifications
Recruitment qualification and experience of working with Psychometric test’s (ie CEB)
WORK ATTITUDES A team player and focused on going ‘the extra mile’ in order to give quality support.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and to follow things through to completion.
Able to provide a great candidate experience.
DISPOSITION Consistently high standards in work performance.
Demonstrate evidence of communicating and influencing at all levels

SPECIAL SKILLS Can use Excel and Word to an intermediate level.
Has been on formal recruitment training courses.
Experience in using reporting tools from HR databases.
Expereince of using a variety of ATS’s
Experience of posting Jobs on Internet Job Boards.
Solid knowledge of Employment Law relating to Recruitment and Selection.
Psychometric testing and competency frameworks.
