37.5 Hours Support Worker

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Support Worker who will enable individuals to maximise their quality of life and to live independently within the community. You will be working with the UKs largest Christian disability charity which is over 100 years old. Your job will be to support client users with their day to day life such as GP appointments, Shopping, Cleaning and much more.

Are you motivated to make a positive impact on someone else’s life by supporting them in the best possible way allowing them to reach their full potential independently?

Your job will be to respond to the needs of each individual within the specified Care or Person Centred Plan, so that they are able to make informed choices whilst maintaining their safety.

– You must be able to use a computer and have basic knowledge of office packages such as Word etc
– You must be able to explain and understand what it means to have a duty of care to individuals
– Able to show how you would enable individuals to make informed choices about their lives
– Be aware of key legislation relating to health and safety in the workplace including fire safety and moving and positioning.

Person Specification:

– You must hold a driver licence and have access to a car during working hours
– Experience of working with people in a team
– Understand the important of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service
provided.
