2nd Line Support Engineer;hyper-V

An IT Support company who provide a full range of services to SMEs are looking to add a strong 2nd Line Engineer to their growing technical team.

Responsibilities:

• Server and Network configuration and maintenance
• Upgrades, imaging, configuration and data transfer
• Broadband support
• Keeping accurate records of work completed along with documentation according to our standards
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary
• Some Hardware support and installation may also be needed

Essential Skills:

• Experience in deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems, including Active Directory Group Policies, DHCP and DNS for Windows Server 2008+
• Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
• Networking knowledge, covering routing, switching, firewalls
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange installation and maintenance

To be the successful candidate for this role you need to have superb communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organisational abilities.

The salary range is between £36,000-40,000 dependent on your experience. They also offer a suite of benefits including pension, overtime or day off in lieu, training and certifications.
