Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
Due to continued growth a large firm of Accountants with nationwide offices is looking for a 2nd Line Support Analyst based in Milton Keynes (with some travel to other offices). Your role will be to maintain the full range of technologies and applications across the organisation.
To provide accurate information to the user base, including Partners ensuring compliance at all time with the policies and procedures in place within the IT Department.
Main Responsibilities
2nd line problem analysis and call resolution
Escalation of calls to relevant staff
Completion of allocated tasks from daily procedure list
Ability to complete non-allocated daily tasks in case of absences
Reporting high priority issues to the IT manager(s)
Maintaining PC and laptop builds with supporting documentation
Completing allocated projects (to include design, test, implementation and documentation)
Helpdesk call logging when Helpdesk Analyst is unavailable.
Skills / knowledge / experience
We’re seeking an experienced 2nd line support analyst/engineer.
Essential Technical Skills
Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7
Microsoft Office 2007/2010
Windows Server 2003/2008/2012Beneficial Technical Skills.
Preferred technical skills
Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, SQL 2005/2008, IIS
Knowledge of Citrix XenApp
Knowledge of mainstream accountancy applications
Knowledge of Checkpoint or equivalent encryption system
Knowledge of Symantec or equivalent anti-virus system
Experience with configuration of Blackberry/Iphone handsets
Experience of VMWare and/or other virtualisation technology
Track-IT knowledge or other helpdesk systems.
Soft Skills
Good communicator; able to convey information to non-technical users and/or IT staff
Customer focused, prepared to go the extra mile to provide great service
Supports team members
Problem solver.
Additional
Full clean UK Driving licence required as travel between sites will be required.
