2nd Line Support / Desktop Support Engineer currently required by my prestigious London based financial services client.

My well respected International client are currently looking for someone with strong Microsoft Support skills, who should ideally be MCSE or MCITP qualified.

You must have previously provided support in a Microsoft environment and have experience of;

• HP (Hewlett Packard) hardware
• Call Logging software
• Windows XP
• Windows 7 & 8
• Apple Mac OS
• Mobile operating systems such as Blackberry, Android, Apple & Windows Mobile.
• Office 2007 and above.
• Printer Support
• Microsoft Active Directory Support.

Experience of Microsoft Server 2007 / 2010 would be advantageous.

Additionally because of the industry my client are in (financial services) they are very much looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and is well presented. My client is looking for someone that is very proactive. They do not want someone that is just going to sit at their desk and wait for the support calls and process them in a very “faceless” manner. They want someone that is going to provide regular updates on the issues, ensuring that the user is kept in the loop at all stages, and where possible “floor walk” to make sure everything is okay and working as it should be.
