Salary: £26,000 – £48,000 per year
The ideal candidate will have 3-4+ years’ exp working within a 1st/2nd line support role, be customer service focused, naturally striving to be & do better, wanting to progress their IT Career to the next level & has knowledge in Microsoft Techs, Server Virtualisation & Enterprise Networking & should be self-sufficient, having a proactive approach to their role, able to work under pressure & have initiative.
The role will be diverse as they work with different types of clients & environments.
• Assisting the Service Desk when call volumes are high
• Resolve incidents within the SLA
• Attend customer sites for incidents & installations
• Provide pre-sales tech help to the Sales team
• Build, Implement & support the Group’s VOIP Platform & its users
• Provide match day support for sports events at customer sites
• Undertaking & working on small to medium sized projects & tech implementations
• Keeping documentation up to date for all systems (hardware & software), including all apps installed & network topology/diagrams
• Liaising with 3rd parties & suppliers
• Escalating faults to 3rd line support if required
Requirements
• Previous experience working for a MSP (Desirable)
• Full UK Driving License (Essential)
• Knowledge of the techs listed below (Essential):
• Windows Server 2008 – 2019
• Windows 7 – 10
• Office 365 & Exchange On-prem
• Microsoft Active Directory (On-prem & Azure)
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Server virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
• LAN/WAN Technologies (Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
• Basic understanding of Fiber Optic comms
• Basic understanding of VOIP, SIP & ISDN
• Basic understanding of ADSL/VSDL, FTTC, FTTP & Point to Point techs
• Experience working with Huawei Core Networking, Huawei OceanStor SAN Storage & Huawei Wi-Fi Access Controllers (Beneficial)
• Experience working with Ubiquiti Unifi products, AP’s, Switches & USGs (Beneficial)
• Experience in working on SonicWALL & Fortinet Firewalls (Beneficial)
• Any experience within Cyber Security would be a bonus
