Our client based in Exeter are looking to recruit 2 Desktop Support Analysts for secondline support, it will involve travelling to various locations so a current driving licence will be required;
1. Supporting all aspects of the desktop equipment life cycle at user’s desks across the whole of the group including initial build, configuration and installation, maintenance, 1st and 2nd line support, applying updates and patches and decommissioning; installing and support peripherals such as printers and mobile devices.
2. Build and installation for PC’s, laptops, phones and peripherals, maintaining process documentation, liaising with other ICT staff and third parties ensuring all work is carried out within agreed service levels.
3. Providing advice and guidance to the Service Desk in dealing with incidents, providing 2nd line support for all aspects of the Desktop environment within agreed service levels and in accordance with ICT department processes, allocating incidents to other ICT staff and 3rd parties for resolution where appropriate.
4. Identifying diverse problems within the desktop environment and escalating in accordance with ICT Department processes.
5. Implementing changes in accordance with ICT department processes.
6. Maintaining the security of the desktop environment, performing regular checks to ensure standards are maintained, identifying enhancements to security.
The post holders will be required to have experience and relevant training in support, building, installing and configuring desktop equipment in an MS Windows environment.
Staff should be aware that they will be required to move and install PC’s.
