Post title: 2 Support Worker
Salary: £26,306
Contract Basis: Permanent Full Time
Location: Everall Court and Grange Park
You will provide support to adults with Mental Health and complex needs with a key focus on their recovery. The Schemes aim to support individuals to maximise their independent living skills to enable them to move into less supported accommodation or general needs.
With your experience of working with this client group, you will have excellent planning and communication skills and the motivation to engage with difficult to reach clients. This will include enabling the client to better understand their illness, triggers and develop their own management strategies and crisis plans.
You will have the ability to assess and manage risk with the individual as well as support them with positive risk taking and a good understanding of safeguarding adult’s procedures.
It is vital that you have Risk and Support Planning skills and experience of formulating, writing and developing person centred plans.
Ultimately, you will promote the clients choice and control and involve them in every aspect of their support provision.
You will be confident to lone work but also a good team worker who has the skills to contribute to team performance and give guidance to others based on your experience.
You will be capable and have some experience of managing lower level support workers ensuring they manage their time effectively and skills to undertake one to one supervisions.
You will be capable of using computer applications such as Word and Outlook and recording effectively on our in-house database.
